What’s the difference between mesh and rubber drum pads?
Rubber pads are firmer and more affordable, and they’re common on entry-level kits where cost and durability matter most. Mesh pads feel closer to an acoustic drumhead, with more give and better rebound, which is why they appear on the mid-range and premium V-Drums kits.
Can I play an electronic drum kit through headphones?
Yes, every Roland V-Drums module has a headphone output, so you can practise at full intensity without anyone else hearing a thing. Most modules also have a line output if you’d rather play through a drum amp or PA system.
How much space does an electronic drum kit need?
Electronic kits generally take up less floor space than an acoustic kit, since there are no shells resonating and the frame can be set up close together. As a rough guide, allow around 1.5 by 1.5 metres of floor space for most kits, though compact models can fit into less.
Do electronic drum kits come with a stool and sticks?
