Hofner Basses

In 1955 Walter Höfner designed the first Höfner bass. This model 500/1 violin bass was first introduced to the world at the Frankfurt Music Fair in spring 1956 and  was of course later made world famous by Sir Paul McCartney and dubbed the Beatle Bass, he has been playing his violin bass since 1961. This and other models such as Club, Verithin and President are still manufactured by Höfner and sold here at World of Music.
