It all began in a small town in Northern Italy by the name of Modena. A town known as the sports car capital of the world, a town known for its exquisite cuisine and a town known as the birthplace of balsamic vinegar. For a small town, Modena is rich in heritage and innovation and in 1996 in this small town, IK Multimedia was born. Their goal was to try and emulate the sound of classic analog gear using the digital signa processing of computers.
Since this time IK Multimedia has gone on to create digital emulations of some of the most iconic pieces of equipment in musical history, growing into one of the biggest names in computer music. Their Amplitube software gives you the sounds of the legendary gear from the likes of Fender, Ampeg, Vox, Marshall, Orange and many others. Couple this with their line of iRig interfaces for your iPhone, iPad or tablet and you can now record and play using these amazing sounds from anywhere in the world. With options for guitar, midi, vocal and microphone preamps, there are a huge array of options for your needs.
