A delightful blend of vintage charm and modern craftsmanship in a parlor-sized acoustic
The Epiphone Blues King Studio is part of the all-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars have been completely reimagined to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustic instruments inspired by iconic Gibson designs. The Blues King Studio blends vintage charm with modern craftsmanship and is designed to deliver a soulful, resonant sound that’s perfect for blues and folk enthusiasts. Based on classic Gibson parlor acoustics, its smaller parlor-sized body and shorter 24.75″ scale length make it an excellent first guitar for younger players and a comfortable choice for smaller-statured musicians. Its bluesy tone makes it ideal for fingerstyle, blues, folk, Americana, and other traditional music styles.
The Blues King Studio features a layered, L-00-style mahogany body with single-ply cream binding on the top and back, paired with a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced tone that improves with age. The mahogany neck uses a glued-in tapered dovetail joint and has a comfortable Rounded C profile. It’s topped with a rosewood fretboard fitted with 19 standard frets and simple pearloid dot inlays. The strings pass over a compensated plastic saddle and are anchored to a rectangular rosewood bridge with ivory-coloured bridge pins. Additional vintage-inspired details include an L-00-shaped dark tortoise shell-style pickguard, three-on-a-plate tuners with ivory-coloured plastic buttons, and a 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock with the Epiphone logo in gold silkscreen.
For modern performance needs, the Blues King Studio comes equipped with Fishman electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys VT preamp with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls that offer quick access while remaining discreet. The guitar has a gloss finish and is available in two vintage-style colours—Ebony and Dark Burst. Both right- and left-handed versions are offered, and a standard gig bag is included.
A 9-volt battery is required to power the pickup and is not included.
